  • The name and the heart

Posted on November 20th, 2012 Sutra Smith No comments

A victim is, almost by definition, powerless. If you see a victim with power, that is a wannabe — rather a wannabeseenas — victim.

That human being, or group, posesses a special kind of invisible/less visible power. I call it victim power (offermakt).

The name of the game is victimisation. But the heart of the game is power.

  • Our leaders

When contemplating what our ”leaders” are doing — to us, others, the planet — I realize we need a new word.

These people are not leaders. They are MISLEADERS.

Fun fun fun.Believe it or not!

  • The illusion of importance aka Shouting machines

We civilians often think things are done for US.

Men think that women dress for them — while women dress for each other.

Women think men are toiling for them — which happens to be correct.

Both men and women think that  technological changes and computer updates are done for them — while they are just part of the war between companies. The “user” is merely audience.

The same goes for politics. Voters think politicians work for them. Actually voters are just the crowd cheering and helping one of the teams to win.

It is only in sports that this relationship is clear. We know we are unimportant shouting machines.

    Waving and shouting machines.

  • Hens R US

Posted on March 10th, 2012 Sutra Smith No comments

Mad scientists in the country of
    ABBA and Linneus
turn men and women into HENS!

We have just received dramatic reports from correspondents in Scandinavia informing us that this is the end of Swedish people as we know them.

A metamorphosis of humans into something magnificent (like tigers) or poetic (like gazelles) might be strange — but still somehow understandable. However, Sweden, once a proud and patriotic country that termed its language the language of honor and heroes (“ärans och hjältarnas språk”), is now turning it´s back on magnificence and poetry and will henceforth be hen territory.

    han hon hen

    Are we not hens?

After the regime change the only politically correct movie will be Chicken Little; everybody will eat at Scania Fried Chicken, buy their clothes at Hens & Mauritz and hum the tunes of Hans Werner Hense.

Did I say hum? I meant cluck.

    han hon hena

It doesn´t have a tune and you can´t dance to it... Hense is my favorite composer!

Not only Swedish people are affected by strange metamorphosis. A similar transformation has been observed all over the globe in the sphere of ideas and concepts .

  • Democracy – American Voodoo style

Posted on September 20th, 2011 Sutra Smith 1 comment

Reading the morning paper I realize that democracy Made in the USA is a very different beast than it´s European variety.

For example, putting the hex on somebody is not generally, at least not openly, part of our democratic process.

But Old USA has a more primitive, religious and superstitious attitude than more progressive Europe.

Thus one should not be surprised when the bullying tactics associated with viral e-mails saying

"Send this WISE and BEAUTIFUL poem along to all your LOVELY friends -- or you will have seven difficult years and burn in hell!!!"

are also found in American politics.

When phrases like “a divine mandate”, “nations receive blessings”, “a curse comes into play” are used by a member of the United States House of Representatives (in a New York Times article about the upcoming election) I see a chasm open up between here and there. Or — I see a old chasm that I just didn´t notice before.

What has curses and blessings got to do with democracy and politics? Well, they seem to get along just fine in the USA.

I stumble upon a similar threat in a note on Facebook. This time the issue is Palestine, but the tone is the same.

"Many countries who declared their support to palestinian authority experienced traggic disaster like japan who lately experienced tsunami which caused great disaster to japan, the european union who experience outbreak of E. coli." [original spelling]

Okay! Supernatural, even divine powers seem to have an interest in how we think and act — and not least VOTE.

Forget free will. This is a case of Choose the right way, OR ELSE!! Expect a rain of locusts if you press the wrong button.

Leonard Cohen sang, in his poem Democracy

Democracy is coming to the USA

I would rather say — coming and going, to and fro.

Democracy is too novel a concept for the old gods. DEMONcracy on the other hand...

Let us now leave this superstitious nonsense behind us and be rational, technological, orbital. Yeehaa!

  • A thought for 9/11

Posted on September 11th, 2011 Sutra Smith 1 comment

    [2011 9/11]

One of the Top… I mean Bottom Ten Worst Ideas mankind ever came up with:

    GOD HAS FAVOURITES

That is, he likes certain individuals and countries more than others, and some he definitely dislikes.

In other words: God is a racist.

That idea was perhaps fine for Stone Age people, but less so for modern, global, democratic man.

Not God – WE are the racists. Let’s stop putting our own words and vibes in God’s mouth, as handy excuses for war, hate, chauvinism and unfair favouritism.

Don’t blame God for YOUR ideas. A “prophet” can say anything that helps himself or his own people. Blame yourself if you must blame. But preferably blame no one, just try to be better than what you criticize.

If we did that, everything might improve.

    Shake Hands

Not only has God no favorites, he is also not forcing us to make particular choices.
